It’s Thanksgiving – What Are You Grateful For?
Today, it is Thanksgiving in the United States. There are so many things we can be grateful for. Sometimes, we just think of issues like; "I'm grateful for family", health, food, etc. Naturally, we are grateful for these things but, do these general things really make you feel grateful?
If you are grateful for some of the issues we sometimes take for granted, for example: clean air, clean water, freedom to think what you want, living in a free country, having electricity, eating 3 meals a day, having choices, being able to walk, being able to see, being able to hear, living in a safe area, having a warm bed, choosing the food you like to eat, being loved by friends and family, and the list goes on and on. These thoughts of gratefulness start to open your eyes to other things to be grateful for and your feelings change; you start to feel really good.
After listing as many things you are grateful for, you start to experience "True Gratitude. "
We as North Americans, have so much abundance in our lives. Many times we forget to be grateful and when we are grateful, it is only for the big things in our lives. There are many things in your life now that you can be grateful for, start listing them and you will experience a shift in the way you feel. Do this once a day, or once a week and you will start to get into the habit of looking at things to be grateful for. You will be a happier person!
Thanksgiving is once a year, It should be more often so we remember to be grateful!
That's the Way I See it!
